Privacy Policy

This website is run by Niamh Swail, trading as Niamh Swail Interiors, an interior design consultancy based in Kildare, Ireland. Niamh is responsible for the personal data collected through this website (the “data controller”). You can contact her about anything in this policy at niamhswail@gmail.com.

When you send a booking enquiry, we collect your name, email address, phone number (if you give it), the service you are interested in and your message. We use these only to reply to your enquiry and arrange your consultation. Our legal basis is taking steps at your request before entering into a contract with you.

When you send your Discover Your Style answers, we save your name, contact details, kitchen ratings, likes and notes, and create a private link to them. You choose how to send that link to Niamh (WhatsApp, email or by copying it). We use your answers only to understand your taste and prepare for your consultation. Our legal basis is, again, taking steps at your request before entering into a contract with you.

We do not use your data for marketing, we do not sell it, and we do not use it to make automated decisions about you.

• Cloudflare hosts this website, passes booking enquiries on to Niamh by email and stores saved survey answers. Cloudflare is based in the United States; transfers of personal data outside the EU are protected by safeguards approved by the European Commission.
• Email and WhatsApp. Enquiries arrive in Niamh's Gmail (Google), and if you send your survey link by WhatsApp or email, it passes through those services under their own privacy policies.

Nobody else receives your data unless the law requires it.

We keep enquiries and survey answers only for as long as we need them to respond to you and, if you become a client, to carry out your project. If we work together, we keep records such as invoices for as long as Irish tax law requires. You can ask us to delete your data at any time.

This website does not use cookies for tracking, advertising or analytics. It stores two small pieces of information in your own browser, only to make features you are using work:

• your Discover Your Style answers as you fill them in, so you can close the page and come back to them (cleared when you press “Start again” or clear your browser data)
• the times you sent the booking form, so the form can limit repeat submissions

This information stays on your device and is not sent to us.

Under data protection law (GDPR), you have the right to:

• ask for a copy of the personal data we hold about you
• ask us to correct anything that is wrong
• ask us to delete your data
• ask us to limit how we use it, or object to how we use it
• ask for your data in a format you can take elsewhere

To do any of these, email niamhswail@gmail.com. We will reply within one month. If you are unhappy with how we have handled your data, you can complain to the Data Protection Commission at dataprotection.ie.

If we change how we use your data, we will update this page and the date at the top.
